Flag Hoisting, Parade and Awards

  • Parade Line-up - 1:00 PM

    All the participating regional and non-profit organizations would get ready to represent their respective organizations in front of the fair goers.

  • Parade - 1:30 PM

    Every organization participating in the event would display their strength and their traditions around the Capitol mall path, culminating at the flag hoisting event.

  • Flag Hoisting & National Anthems - 2:00 PM

    Elected officials and the organizations, led by IAM, would gather by the American and India flags, to hoist them and sing the national anthem, in that order. Young talents from the community would be singing the national anthem accompanied by one or more instruments. 

  • Address by Elected Officials - 2:10 PM

    Elected officials will address those gathered and mingle with the community members.

  • Student Scholarship Awards - 2:35 PM

    Selected High School graduates will be awarded a scholarship amount for their outstanding contribution to society and excellence in academics. This will occur on the main stage.
