Mita has been practicing yoga since childhood. She was first introduced to yoga by her grandfather when she got time out in the pose baddha padmasana. Her yoga journey was on and off until about 20 years ago when she went through yoga teacher’s training to become a certified yoga teacher. Her focus has been towards therapeutic aspects of yoga. This evolved her journey gradually from yoga poses to pranayama and meditations. Her teaching has been heavily influenced by BKS Iyengar, Judith Lasater, Donna Farhi, Tara Brach, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Jack Kornfield. Mita is intends to continue her spiritual journey and help others live a more holistic lifestyle based on principles of yoga.
